Another Monday, and this week we had a "play date" with Skye and Jasmin and Sarah. We pottered around the house beforehand, with Louis enjoying exploring the bathroom. On our date we went to Wonderama, the kids' section of the Science Festival. Holly and Skye made "mini machines", windmills and rockers from cardboard and drinking straws. Louis and Jasmin raced around the room using stools as infant zimmer frames. Holly and Louis were transfixed by Skeletron, the climbing robot skeleton. And they all loved the UV room. Photography was, alas, verboten although I took one at lunch, which rather bizarrely was conducted in the theatre seating of the Assembly Rooms. After all that, we took a wee stroll down to Newhaven Harbour to take in a quick glimpse of the spring sunshine. A busy, fun day.

Tired Kiddies
The weekend, and while Helen was away for a wee facial (from last year's birthday) I couldn't get Louis to settle for a nap. Inevitably, by the time Helen returned to take us all to a late Easter party, the wee chap was out for the count. The next day, and Holly was ready to curl up in Costa for a wee snooze.

Couch Potato
A few snaps from Papa Gordon, taken on Wednesday during Holly's routine viewing of The Lion King. A glimpse of the teenage future? Feet on the furniture and everything...

Tidy House
Just for the record, this is what our house looks like when it's tidy. These are the pictures the solicitor bloke took on Monday.

Back Bedroom
Monday bank holiday, and instead of rushing headlong into the traffic jams to enjoy ourselves like everyone else, we spent the day preparing for the nice man from the solicitors' office who was coming to take pictures of the house for the ESPC. Louis was asleep in the back room (which we'd used as a dumping ground for much of our guff anyway) so he didn't get a picture of it. Once Louis was up and about, I took a few pictures of the room, then Holly and Louis came in to play in the cot.

Easter Sunday
Sunday, and after a high-chocolate-content breakfast Holly spent the rest of the morning camping in Africa. To you and I, it looks pretty much like sitting on some blankets in the front garden, but her vivid imagination was more than enough to transport her to the plains of the Serengeti, complete with wild animals (and more chocolate). In the afternoon we headed off to a chilly Holyrood Park to meet Grandma & Papa (thanks for the photos!) and the Evanses for a spot of egg-rolling. A girl after her father's heart, Holly ate pretty much every egg she rolled.

TW3
Another busy week. We took Louis to the doctor (the nice one) on Monday, and she diagnosed what used to be called "wheezy bronchitis", referred him to a paediatrician at the Sick Kids, and prescribed antibiotics and and an inhaler, plus eye drops for his snot-related conjunctivitis. Poor wee guy. Anyway, it's good to have him back. He's much more himself, and is crawling and exploring and banging his head all over the place. Unfortunately he seems to have developed something of a temper, which shows itself whenever he's hungry, frustrated, tired or just waking up - ie pretty much all the time :-). Holly's on good form too, she loves dressing up and washing her wee brother's hair and watching movies on the laptop and building towers when she should be getting ready for bed. There's a defiant streak developing there that we may have to work on...

Le Weekend
Louis has had a tough time of it the last few days, throwing up every bottle of milk we gave him. Gradually reintroducing things (including dilute formula) has got him on the path back to his normal cheery self. In the meantime, we still had a few laughs and smiles, and even managed to spend a while in the garden on Sunday afternoon, complete with a visit from Paula and Daisy.

¡Ay Carumba pt II!
A nice pic from yesterday's visit to Grandma & Papa's, also showing Holly resplendent in her flamenco outfit. And pink tights.

¡Ay Carumba!
This weekend, and a visit from Grandma Pat and Grandad John meant Helen and I got a little bit of time to ourselves which was lovely. It also meant I didn't take many pictures, so here's one of Holly in her new flamenco dress and shoes (brought from Spain by Grandma Pat), with which she is extremely taken.
Another Happy Monday
Two Mondays ago, and Louis had had a bad weekend. The poor wee guy seems to have a constant cough and cold, but that weekend he seemed properly ill for the first time. He was all listless and snuggly and tired. On the Monday, he rallied somewhat and these are the pictures I took to send to Helen at work. Oh, and Holly had her wee pal Carys from next door round for a bit of indoor camping.
I Love You Mummy
Two weeks ago (apologies for the posting hiatus) I was picking up Holly and Louis. Holly was mucking about with the phone, and announced she wanted to phone mummy at work. I read out the number and Papa dialled. We had no idea what she was up to. When Helen answered, Holly said "I love you mummy" and a chorus of "awwwwww" passed around the assembled Millars.
