Building Works May 28

Building Works May 28

More woodwork, the dormer is taking shape and the wooden cladding is on. We're starting to get a sense of the interior shape but it's still pretty far from weatherproof.

The Ringtones sang at the North East heats of the Choir of The Year competition at The Sage in Gateshead. It's a magnificent venue. Mixed feelings about competitive singing apart, we had a grand time anyway.

Serenade

Untitled

Louis and I got out our instruments and sang a wee song for Helen. I forget what it was but it can't have had more than a couple of chords :-)

Later the same day, we met up with la famille Millar in honour of Calum's 18th birthday. Holyrood 9A was the venue, they do splendid burgers and beer, the latter of which Calum was able to partake for the first time ever. Really.

Cramond With C&M

Cramond Wiht C&M

Catherine, Matt & family visited from London. We put on our rain gear, made packed lunches and met up with the McKees for a stroll down Cramond way. We walked up to the Cramond Falls Cafe then back downriver and out the causeway to Cramond Island and the now inevitable seaside fire.
