Summer Holiday?

We've been in the new house a month now, and it still feels like we're on holiday, helped in part by the (intermittently) summery weather. We visit new swing parks, have a paddling pool out in the garden, meet the Evanses at different venues, (this week was the Dean Gallery, where Holly and Leo enjoyed clambering on Paolozzi's Master of the Universe, and remarked that he looked like he was sitting on the toilet), we dine al fresco in the evenings, and we blow bubbles in the sunshine. It's marvellous, and while it definitely feels like home, it still feels new and exciting too.

Sunny Monday

A week ago, and on a sunny Monday morning the kiddies and I headed out to Davidsons Mains park, where we met a couple of new chums, Matteo and Sophie. Holly bonded straight away, and the three of them were soon spotted walking hand in hand and disappearing into the woods with mischievous looks on their faces. I didn't get a picture of that, because I was keeping an eye on Louis, who was determined to climb to the top of the chute under his own steam. We spent the afternoon pottering in the garden, where Holly was very taken with the hammock. Scott and Calum showed up doing a bike tour and bearing gifts, and later on Helen was able to take her turn in the overpopulated hammock.

We're Back!

Well it took them a while, but BT have finally managed to get us back online. In the meantime, two weeks after we moved, the Post Office have yet to redirect any of our mail. What is it with ex-public utilities?
Anyhoo, we've moved, we've settled in, and things are going swimmingly in our new home, helped along by the occasionally pleasant summer weather. Here, for your viewing pleasure, are a bunch of pictures to document the water that has passed under the figurative bridge in the weeks since the last post. At least it's a change from me bragging about my glorious victory. Again.

BT Cycling Challenge

Proof, if any were required, of my pedalling exploits a couple of weeks ago. You need to have the sound up, and sit through to the end, if you can stand it. No sign of my fancy bike yet though.
