Boris the Bear

This week, Boris the Bear from nursery is visiting us, with Louis getting plenty of help from Holly in looking after him. This morning we rode the three miles to Grandma & Papa's as usual, but Boris joined us (strapped to Louis' bars) for what we suspect is his first bike ride. He (Louis assures me it was Boris) was heard to whoop loudly on the downhill bits.

Back home, and Holly got the latest issue of Wild Times in the post. She's dead keen to send in some nature-themed artwork (the kids are both fans of Deadly 60 too) so used some of the Sun Print Paper she got for Christmas to create this image from leaves and twigs collected from the garden.

Upstairs, Downstairs

Here's a video I posted on YouTube, but forgot to post here. No explanation neccesary, I suspect.

Bonnie Bonnie Banks

This week, we had a wee holiday at The Carrick, part of the Cameron House Hotel on the west shore of Loch Lomond. We had a very swanky apartment in the Mansion House overlooking the 16th hole of what looked like a very posh golf course. The main pool has a slide, so we were in there every day, with Louis coping well sans armbands. We walked, we drank, we baked, we climbed trees, we watched movies - the children have now been well and truly initiated in the ways of Star Wars - and we had a lovely time. All this only an hour and a half from home.

Back To Our Roots

It's been a wee while; here are a couple of snaps of our favourite rooty tree down at Cramond. The kids scrambled all over it and got nice and dirty. Many families wandered by and looked on as if dirty, giggling children were in some way an unusual spectacle.
