Some kind of bureaucratic oversight has been made by the weather gods. There can be no other explanation for the gloriousness of today, although to be fair it was a little on the chilly side compared to through the week. We went for a wander round the Cammo Estate, a pleasure as ever. It's a lovely spot.

Blue Monday

British Summer Time rolled nicely into Monday, allowing Helen to cycle to work, and Louis and I to drive to Glentress to hit the dusty trails. We had a lovely time, especially on the "Berm Baby, Berm" section of the Blue loop. We rounded the day off with a snack at the new Peel Café (RIP The Hub) and got home just in time to meet Holly coming home from school.

Summertime Thing

As befits the - official - first day of summertime, we had a glorious day in Edinburgh, and a busy one too. Holly and Helen ran the Sport Relief mile, and we hung around Hollyrood Park afterwards with Olivia and family doing climbing, bouncing, face painting and so on. It was unbelievably balmy. Back home we had lunch in the garden, then spent the afternoon sliding, trampolining and napping in the sun. Bliss. More of the same please, weather gods.

Café Maman

Mother's day dawned bright and sunny, and Holly immediately put her plan into action. She and Louis dressed in their black-and-whites, wrote out a menu, picked some daffodils and took Helen's breakfast order. After eating, it was time for a few chapters of Harry Potter before a stroll down to the Cramond Falls Café for coffee and cake in the sunshine.
