Two Champions!
Ahem. This week, by virtue of being BT's "cycling champion" I met Chris Hoy, fresh from his clean sweep at the Beijing Olympics, and very much the man of the moment. He was doing some kind of London 2012 thing at BT, and I was ushered into the great man's presence for a photo-op. Like everyone else says, and just like he comes across on TV, he's a really nice, humble, down to earth guy. And an incredible cyclist. He even remembered me from the pre-Beijing Bike Breakfast. The event was commemorated in BT's house newspaper (online version) with a quote from me which was entirely made up by the writer - click to see it full-size and readable. Or here.
